Our Credo here at DIG THE DROP is pretty simple..

Giving the characters and personalities behind our incredible NZ University DJ's a chance to strut their swagger live on stage is what DIG THE DROP lives for - showcasing & promoting the DJ’s live performance and tracks to our domestic & international audiences that should know about them but probably don't is our PROMISE.

DIG THE DROP is the coolest University DJ Competition in the world that exposes and unearths the DJ's through the FANS. There are no Judges - the DJ's are carried through the heats and into the grand final by a DECIBEL METER. 

 

That’s right the DJ that brings the best 'DROP' and the LOUDEST crowd night after night will be crowned winner of DIG THE DROP UC 2025.

Each DIG THE DROP University Competition has four heats and the final. 

 

Each DJ has to play a fifteen to twenty minute set.

 

DIG THE DROP has been created to nurture, mentor, promote, celebrate and help guide our incredible NZ University DJ's through to the next level of their musical careers.

 

It's important work and we love it! 

 

No one wins unless everyone wins - every DJ that registers and performs wins - the performances will be next level and so are our prizes and opportunities for these incredible DJ’s.
